When is a Blog not a Blog?

This advertising ploy tries to get readers to believe they are reading the personal experience of an individual. Very clever!

However,  closer examination, (with a right click of the mouse and choosing to "view page source code" ) we find that there are robots or widgets at work here. In addition, look what pops up when you try to close the page:

Just Click "O.K." and it will disappear.

This ad is programmed to  examine the ISP of the person opening the page. to determine their location then changes the wording of the "blog" accordingly. My copy of this page shows "Erin" lives in Toronto, and she received a check from the Canadian Government. What results do you get on this page? Drop me a comment & let the world know!

Welcome to Fab Fakes

Fab Fakes the place that highlights Fabulous Fakes. What is a Fabulous Fake? A Fab Fake is an item so well-crafted that it fools the observer into believing it's real. Faboulous Fakes takes a behind the scenes look into what creates the illusions that fool the mind and eye of the casual observer, and explores the positive and negative aspects of these illusions, as well as giving tips on how you can replicate the results yourself. Enjoy!
